Getting started with administrators |
The administrator has the highest authority, the main function is to manage modules of the whole SuperMap iPortal products. When logging in the portal home page as an administrator role, clicking "management", and you can enter the iPortal management interface ( http://localhost:8090/iportal/manager/), to manage portal for iPortal. The portal management mainly carries on portal site configuration, and manages the integrated various resources in the portal, etc. (Specific use please refer to : Manage iPortal portal)
After the iPortal administrator carries on the optional installation and configuration, such as : database configuration(Specific please refer to : Instal and configure (optional) ), unzips *.zip product unzip package, double clicks the startup.bat file in the %SuperMap iPortal_HOME%/bin directory to start iPortal service, if the administrator wants to stop the service, double clicks shutdown.bat file in %SuperMap iPortal_HOME%/bin directory.
After the service starts, when visiting SuperMap iPortal home page(http://localhost:8090/iportal) at the first time, users need to create the administrator account, after successfully created, users can enter into SuperMap iPortal home page, click on the "login" button at the top right corner, login it in the administrator account, user can see "managing" entry in home page menu, click into the iPortal portal management interface.
Staring from SuperMap iPortal 9D and newer versions, it uses Tianditu as the sample data by default. When starting iPortal service the first time, the users connecting to the Internet can view it on "resource center" - > "map" list page. And it can be added as a basemap when creating maps with DataViz. What' more, you can add some sample data through Service registry function or through Batch register services, , Batch add map functions to the portal, to experience the portal functions.
In the actual production environment, iPortal administrator can, according to their own business needs, carry on the Portal site configuration, in order to tailor a series of portal functions in conformity with the practical user application, to quickly build GIS platform portal system.
Staring from SuperMap iPortal 7C(2015) SP2, iPortal provides users with the function of resetting password. After Initializing administrator account, the default does not set security problems for the administrator to reset the password, the administrator can log in iPortal portal, modify security issues in the "my information" page, specific please refer to: Modify security issues. If you forget the password logging to iPortal portal next time, you can click on the "login" button of portal home page, enter the login page, and then click the "forget password?" , then input your account, click "next", fill in the security questions and answers you modify in the "my information" , input a new password, input the new password again, click "ok" button, you can successfully log into the iPortal portal, login password has been reset at this time, next time when you logging, input the new password you just reset.

When the administrator views the SuperMap iPortal log information, please view %SuperMap_iPortal_HOME%\logs directory, or visit SuperMap iPortal service management page (http://<server>:<port>/iportal/manager/), Local access address Relative access address, clicking the "log" tab.
