SuperMap iPortal provides administrators the following map management functions:

Add Maps in Batch

SuperMap iPortal supports to register all-version (including the lowest version) SuperMap iServer services to portal in batch.

Log in to your portal, click Management> Resources Management>Map, click "Add maps in batch" and perform the following steps to finish the adding process.

  1. Enter map service address.

Note that you should use the actual ip address or domain name. Below lists the common service address formats:

  1. Set sharing scope

You can share the maps to be added with all portal users (including anonymous users), specified groups, specified users, or don't share with anyone, ie., just can be accessed by yourself. When sharing with specified users, if you enable the organizational structure, here you can share them with your organazation's members by adding the members into the target users. After the maps have been successfully added, you can also share maps in Personal Center>My Maps.

  1. Click OK to finish batch registration.

Currently, only map services(e.g. REST Maps, WMTS and WMS services) can be added in batch.

Audit Maps

SuperMap iPortal 8C (2017) SP1 and later versions provide map auditing function. If you enable this funciton, the maps that normal users applied to add to Map Resource Center need to be audited. By default, this function is disabled, which means all the maps user create will be added in Map Resource Center for searching and using. Note that only the users who have the priviledges can view and use these maps in Map Resource Center.

Enable and Disable Map Auditing

Portal admnistrators can enable or disable this function by modifying iportal.xml in [SuperMap iPortal installation directory]\webapps\iportal\WEB-INF folder. For details, see: iPortal configuration file description.

Configure Map Property Fields

If users in your organization modified the information of the audited maps, for example the title, description, but the description doesn't conform to your standard, you can control these modifications by configuring map property fields for your auditing operations. You need to configure them in iportal.xml file. And the properties you can configure include title, description, thumbnail, tags, center point and zoom Level (GEOATTR), layer. For specific configuration, see: iPortal configuration file description.
