SuperMap iPortal administrator can add multiple GIS servers within the organization into the portal for unified management. The administrator can specify one or multiple SuperMap iServer servers as hosting servers, used to publish services; the administrator can monitor multiple GIS servers, so as to guarantee safe and stable operation for platform system.

Before hosting servers and monitoring servers, you need to add one or multiple iServer servers into the portal. The specific added steps are as follows:

Adding a server

Logging in the portal page as an iPortal administrator, clicking Management - >Server Management - > Add Server, clicking "Add" button and entering the adding server page:

  1. "Server" : the server access address, format is http://{ip}:{port}/{server}, such as "http://192.168.120.40:8091/iserver "; If the server beding added uses https protocal, the format is https://{ip}:{port}/{server}, such as "https://192.168.120.40:8443/iserver".
  2. "Server alias" : setting the alias of the server, used to distinguish different monitored or hosting GIS server nodes.
  3. "Manager account": administrator account of the server.
  4. "Manager password": administrator account password of the server.
  5. "Whether to be a hosting server" : setting whether added iServer server will be used as a hosting server to publish services. For details, see: Hosting servers.
  1. "Whether to be monitored" : settings whether to start to monitor the server.

(Note: if you didn't configure monitoring, enable monitoring , the check box is gray, can't be checked, but you can still add this server into the portal. After click on "ok" button, the "has been monitored" column will show "no". If you complete the monitoring configuration and start the monitoring, click on the "edit" button, the check box at the back of "whether to be monitored" can be checked, after clicking on the " ok "button, " yes " is shown in the" has been monitored"column, which represents the server has been monitored by iPortal, you can visit the real-time monitoring page to check monitoring situation.

Editing the server information

If you need to alter the added GIS server nodes information, you can click on the "edit" button, and edit the server information on the pop-up "edit GIS server" tab. You can change server access address, server alias, administrator account name, administrator account password, whether to be as a hosting server, and whether to be monitored.
