The Security Module of SuperMap iServer Manager protects GIS services through role-based access control. The Users page under Security is used to view and manage all users in current GIS system, including the administrator account created during first access to SuperMap iServer. SuperMap iServer stored all user accounts, the administrator can add, modify and delete users on this page.
The user operations can be done in the User tab of the Security Module after logging in to iServer Manager.
Add a user
Add a new user into the stored user list:
- Click the Add User, and in the Add User dialog box, input the following information:
- User name [Required Parameter], is the user's unique identification. The role name can not be repeated.
- Password [Required Parameter], input twice for confirmation, length of 6-18 characters
- User description: user's brief description information
- In the Selected user group list, specify groups for current user from the User group to be selected list according to needs.
- In the Selected list, associate one or more roles for current user from the Select from list.
- Click OK to add this user.
Edit a user
Modify user properties or subordinate role:
- Find the user to be modified and click it, it will display the Change User Information. Now you can modify the user's information, but the user name can't be modified.
- Selected user group list shows the the groups that the user belongs to, you can assign more groups for the user by adding the groups you wanted from the User group to be selected list, and you also can let the user exit some spcific groups by removing them from the Selected user group list.
- If the associated roles need to be modified, you can associate one or more roles for the user by adding roles from the Select from list, and remove roles from the Selected list.
- Click Save.
Delete a user or users
Delete unwanted user(s):
- Find the user(s) to be deleted, check, click Delete.
- In the confirmation dialog box, click Yes.
After the user is deleted, the corresponding relationship between the user and the roles is released.
Note: the system administrator account created during SuperMap iServer initialization can't be deleted.
